Mountainside High School has limited parking available to students. Parking is a privilege and not a right. Eligible students are required to park in the student parking lot. Eligibility requirements include, but are not limited to:
• Student is in good standing regarding student conduct (may not exceed 3 conduct referrals)
• Student must have a valid AZ driver’s license
• Student must possess a registered vehicle or motorcycle
• Student must be in grades 10th, 11th, or 12th
• Student must have all school and course fees and fines paid prior to purchasing a parking permit.
*Please note that priority parking will be given to Seniors and West-MEC students on a first-come, first-serve basis. In the event there are more parking permit requests than parking spots available, a lottery system will be used to administer parking permits.
Mountainside High School will assess a parking permit fee of $60 for any registered vehicle or motorcycle for the school year. This fee is prorated by quarter and is non-refundable. Replacement for a lost parking permit will be assessed at a $10 charge. Students must have a valid parking permit to park on campus. Parking permits must be visibly placed in the lower driver’s side of the windshield.
Eligible students must complete the MHS Driving Expectations and the NUSD High School Parking Registration form with parent signatures, clear all outstanding fees, fines/debts, and/or return any missing school items, i.e. uniforms, etc. To purchase a parking permit, eligible students must submit the following to Ms. Paine:
1) Download, print, and complete the NUSD High School Parking Registration form and MHS Parking and Driving Expectations (including required parent signature).
2) Bring a copy of student's valid AZ Driver’s License, a copy of a valid AZ Vehicle Registration, and payment in the amount of $60. Do not purchase a permit online if you do not have a valid driver’s license, or vehicle, and/or have been approved by Ms. Paine's office.
